While hosting a Russian Hill open house, Sabrina met Marcela and was immediately excited about Marcela’s colorful fabrics and great energy and invited her to be Ms. February.

Marcela Sierzega (she/her) has spent years designing accessories, bags, and footwear for iconic apparel brands across the country. Drawing from her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Textiles from Rhode Island School of Design, she now continues to experiment with color to weave, embroider, knit, and dye textiles with spontaneous and unexpected results in her San Francisco residence. She is passionate about bringing color to the world and joy to others with the things that she makes and creates.  

Her fashion career includes designing and developing cold weather accessories and printed scarves for Michael Kors and Cole Haan, followed by menswear design for Ted Baker and Nordstrom. She focused on designing luxury men’s accessories at Banana Republic and then whimsical and fun footwear, sleepwear and accessories for kids at Old Navy. 

Marcela currently designs for a global company doing trend research, and product development for exciting projects in footwear.
